Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Hangaroo, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hangaroo. You also need a valid phone number. Right now we support US phone numbers only. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you using the app.

You sign in with your phone number. Keep access to that number secure, since you're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has gotten into it, tell us right away at support@joinhangaroo.com.

Hangaroo is built around things you create: ideas, plans, comments, photos, GIFs, reactions. That content is yours. By posting it, you give us a license to host, display, and share it within the service. That's what lets your friends actually see the trivia night you suggested. We don't use your content for anything outside of running Hangaroo.

Be a good hang. Don't use Hangaroo to harass, threaten, or impersonate people; don't post illegal content, spam, or anything sexually exploitative of minors; don't try to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service. We can suspend or remove accounts that cross these lines.

You can report content or people and block users directly in the app. We review reports and may remove content or accounts that violate these terms. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion to keep Hangaroo safe and pleasant.

Some features rely on other companies' services: GIF search is powered by KLIPY, and adding a plan to your phone calendar uses your device's calendar. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.

You can delete your account anytime from the app (Settings → Delete Account). We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Either way, sections of these terms that reasonably should survive, like the liability limits below, keep applying.

Hangaroo is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or that a hang will actually happen (that part's on your friends). To the maximum extent the law allows, Pepino Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [California], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms as Hangaroo grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll let you know in the app or by other reasonable means. Continuing to use Hangaroo after a change means you accept the new terms.
